What is File Transfer Protocol (FTP) ?
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is an internet protocol that allows to transfer files between devices in a network that uses a TCP connection. In FTP there are two main components that can be used, namely FTP Server and FTP Client.
FTP Server is a device that serves to provide file access, download, and add a file in it.
FTP Client functions to access FTP Server by using an account that has been given access by FTP Server.
FTP generally uses TCP port 21. However, if you have specified the host name for the FTP Server you have, then you can access enough by entering the host name in the URL Address kafetaria in the browser that is used and adding ftp: // before the hostname. So that it will appear as follows:
ftp://hostname.com
